Here's another three games
Gotta love games. And if you do. Your gonna love this.

  Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut

After all I read about this one being much better than adventure 2, I was greatly dissappointed. The only thing better is the camera angles (which are still shocking but a great improvement from adventure 2), and the graphics on the main characters (their looking pretty smooth but everything else looks like something off the Sega Saturn. Just look at the people, there terrible, got more corners on them than a lego person). Adventure DX or 1 is a Sonic game trying to be a Mario game, don't do that Sonic! it's what made you unique! They've given him adventure fields to run about on, but they seem so big and pointless. A Mario adventure field has secrets hidden all through it and things to do in them, these Sonic ones are mostly big empty spaces. There's one secret path, and one secret to each one, and the things you gotta do in 'em are too obvious and have no real challenge to 'em. You'll encounter a place that's locked, it needs a key. You'll complete a level and then it'll just appear out of no where. At first it's like, what could that be, you pick it up, your told it's a key, you click. Seems pretty pointless and these fields are so full of crap that there's hardly any routes to different levels, meaning there aren't many levels, and so you complete it quickly and it doesn't last you. Oh well that's that out of the way. The game is split into different stories for each character instead of each side this time, so all though there aren't much DIFFERENT levels, there are still quite a few levels if you add 'em up. The Sonic levels are still the best but there not as much fun on this one. First of all there not as exciting and there not as challenging, your out of control too often on them. You move Sonic on to a zipper and he'll be off. Either running from one zipper to the next, bouncing around, or just blowing out control in the wind. This doesn't seem terrible while your playing but you do finish some of the levels feeling it lacked something that Adventure 2 had (but this Sonic Adventure 1 really). Tails' levels are better than the ones on adventure 2 'coz there like Sonics instead of those shooting levels that tire easily. You basically play Sonic's adventure again with Tails but the levels are made more interesting by turning them into races against Sonic, and you have to find alternative routes to beat him. This sort of brings back the speed and excitement missing from Sonic's adventure. Shame they cut all the levels in half for Tails. Still these levels are excellent when Sonic is made faster. Knuckles is still treasure hunting, that's never been much fun but they are better on this one 'coz the levels aren't so big and then it doesn't get so teadious. Plus I'd say I enjoyed them alot more on this one 'coz you hunt around on the Sonic levels, so the actions there abit more and things really heat up on the timed challenges. Amy's levels are another Sonic style. A bit different 'coz your always chased by this robot, my only complaint is how annoying slow Amy is. Big the cat is like a fishing game, but it's shit, the mini fishing game on Ocarina of Time beats it any day. Each level asks exactly the same thing, the fishing experience isn't there like on the Ocarina's, it's boring really, and the whole Big storyline seems pointless to the rest of it. The game might have even earned a few points if it wasn't there at all. In all fairness though it ain't too bad when your asked to catch a 2000 pounder as well, makes it a bit more challenging. Finally there's the Gamma stages. They play just like the shooting levels on adventure 2, except there a bit better 'coz they got more of that Sonic stage feel to 'em, there much faster and more exciting, which is much more positive than what I can say for Big. After you've done all that you also get to unlock a Super Sonic story. It's basically like the Final story on adventure 2 but it's just a boss really, a very easy boss too may I add. He was too easy, even easier than Bowser on sunshine. It was a pretty crappy finish 'coz Perfect Chaos was really too easy. Still even though you'll finish the main game in a day and there isn't a proper multiplayer you'll still have something to do. there's this mission game you can do which makes better work of the adventure fields. You gotta search everywhere for them with all the characters to find mission cards which are more like clues to what you have to do in either the adventure field or a level. It gets pretty hard, a good challenge, keeps you going. You'll also unlock Sonic Game Gear games to play, and since the Game Gear was basically a portable Master System, this will be a good ol' flash from the past. Overall it was a fairly average game.

  Mario Kart: Double Dash

Double Dash definetly sticks to the Mario Kart tradition of being one of the greatest multiplayers around. However this time around Mario Kart also offers a much better single player. It's got hugely improved graphics and some truly genius racing tracks. It's starts off slow and somewhat disappointing when playing the game at 50cc, but once you get round to cranking it up to 150cc the action will be there. It's fast, crazy, and just beautiful, and you'll find that the computer is a proper challenge this time round. But this alone doesn't keep you playing the single player, as there's more than just tracks and mirror mode to unlock this time. There's a new kart everytime you finish a cup and on two accations, new players. Single player is simply amazing on this game, and so multiplayer racing is gonna be golden. Nothings better than racing your mates on these Double Dash courses 'coz it's just complete and utter madness, especially when you have eight people playing (either by playing online (broadband) or linking two cubes and having four people playing on each, but trust me when I say, it's amazing with just four people) that all comes down to skill and a little bit of luck. Sadly however, the battle option was ruined. Sure there are now three types of battle but only the good old balloon popper is decent. The battle courses are too small on this Mario kart and the wepons don't last like they used too. There will be no more crazed bouncing of green shells on these tracks as they smash too quickly and then it's too easy to get the best wepons, and on these ridiculously small courses everybody will be gonnas in seconds. There's new battle courses to unlock but then even the best one "Luigi's Mansion" only gives the drivers enough room to turn into the next area and then back. This is a terrible shame as the battle option used to be my favourite form of multiplayer but don't worry too much, as the racing does more than make up for it. Therefore this game is a must buy.
